From Monday through Friday this week we’re offering tours of the new St. John Neumann Museum at 3 p.m.
The museum will tell our saint’s story in ways that are faithful to the past but speak to the present. Young and old, long-time and new devotees, Catholics and others, can all benefit from hearing of his personal story and struggles. We invite you to learn about St. John Neumann’s missionary spirit, sense of humility, closeness to the poor and immigrants, and his lasting contributions to the education of young people.
St. John Neumann Hall, also an integral part of our School building, is ready! These months have been busy ones as we prepare for this final enhancement of our Shrine ministry. All four components—the museum, the media room, gift shop, and café—will be fully available starting April 29. We are confident this new space will provide our visitors with attractive amenities even as the Shrine continues to give solace to so many.
Our saint lived in interesting times and his holiness is now legendary. Know that every day the Redemptorists continue to invoke the blessing of St. John Neumann on you!
De lunes a viernes de esta semana, ofreceremos recorridos por el nuevo Museo St. John Neumann a las 3 p.m.
El museo contará la historia de nuestro santo de maneras que son fieles al pasado pero que hablan del presente. Jóvenes y viejos, antiguos y nuevos devotos, católicos y otros, pueden beneficiarse al escuchar su historia personal y sus luchas. ¡El Salón St. John Neumann, también parte integral de nuestro edificio escolar, está listo! Estos meses han sido muy ocupados mientras nos preparamos para esta mejora final de nuestro ministerio Shrine. Los cuatro componentes, el museo, la sala de prensa, la tienda de regalos y la cafetería, estarán disponibles a partir del 29 de abril.
