Celebrate St. John Neumann’s feast day with us!

Dear benefactors and friends of the Shrine:

This painting of St. John Neumann–featured on this year’s novena card–can be seen above the tomb of St. John Neumann here at the Shrine. It was on display in the apse of St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome during St. John Neumann’s beatification ceremony in 1963 and was given to the Shrine shortly afterward.

May Christ the Redeemer instill in you and your beloved family the hope and desire that will fulfill you during this time of preparation and cleansing in the Advent Season! We, as devoted followers of St. John Neumann, continue to rely on his prayers to intercede for us and to bring us to a deeper understanding of our relationship with Jesus Christ, Our Savior.

We ask St. John Neumann to bind us all together in prayer and to guide us to follow the will of God as he did in perfect humility throughout his short time on earth.

Would you like to enroll loved ones in our 12-day Novena to St. John Neumann, which begins on December 26? Click to download the enrollment form and return it by mail to include loved ones in the Novena Masses. Or click this link to enroll and make your gift online.

Step out of your normal Sunday routine and join your prayers with ours, here or from afar, on his feast day, which occurs this year on Epiphany. At the Shrine you will be surrounded by fellow devotees praying for his intercession. The celebratory atmosphere and gratitude of his followers can be infectious and will assuredly leave you with a renewed sense of hope and a desire to lead a life more centered upon our rich faith, life-giving Eucharist, and a saintly example to emulate.

In Christ the Redeemer,
Father Edmund Faliskie
