Candle Newsletter, Spring 2017 | The National Shrine of St. John Neumann

Candle Newsletter, Spring 2017

Pray and pray again!

Only those who take the time to pray have an opportunity to have those prayers answered! Our records attest that thousands of pilgrims have traveled to our holy ground in the last six months, to visit our beloved saint and ask for his prayerful intercession. We are in awe of the graces flowing which bring the multitudes here each week!

Pray and pray again!

As Catholics we engage in the liturgical season of Lent with a focus on Christ’s sufferings and our own daily offerings of sacrifice, abstinence, and prayer. We invite you and your family to make a Lenten pilgrimage of prayer to the Shrine to ask for the prayers of St. John Neumann, especially during Holy Week. Come and unite your prayers with the Redemptorists who serve the Shrine, as they prayerfully contemplate the sufferings of Christ and His Passion, and afterward, give praise and rejoice in the glory of Our Risen Savior at Easter.

Pray and pray again!

Mother’s Day will soon be upon us with another blessed opportunity for all to pray for those who continually sacrificed and prayed for us. We invite you to make pilgrimage to the Shrine this spring to pray with and for your mother. We ask Our Mother of Perpetual Help to intercede with St. John Neumann for all of the prayer intentions you hold within your heart! May God continue to bless you abundantly this Lent and Easter season.

Sincerely in the Lord,
Father Raymond Collins, C.Ss.R., Shrine Director
