2017 Feast Day Letter

“May the thought of Thee never be absent from me.”
—St. John Neumann

December 2016

Dear Friends of St. John Neumann Shrine:

We extend a heartfelt invitation to all of you and your loved ones to make pilgrimage to our holy ground of hope, especially for the 12:15 p.m. Mass on St. John Neumann’s Feast Day, Thursday, January 5, and our Mass at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, January 8.

To those of you from afar, continue to join your daily prayers with ours, asking for the powerful intercession of St. John Neumann, most purposefully during the time of his Solemn Feast Day in January.

As we look forward in prayer to the weeks ahead, we are brought to contemplate how the presence of hope threads its meaning in the liturgical season of preparation during Advent and throughout the spiritually invigorating Season of Christmas.

Let us open the New Year in faith that we will recognize the opportunities before us to spiritually grow in the hope of Our Lord and Savior. He awaits you here at the Shrine and in His glory desires to fill you with the graces, blessings, and hope you ask Him to provide, through the intercession of our Patron, St. John Neumann.

We at the Shrine continue to grow in fervor over the limitless potential of the daily prayers offered here by the many pilgrims who seek out the hope of our holy grounds. Help us to evangelize about St. John Neumann by sharing your testimonies of how his loving attention to your prayers for intercession brings about miracles of all kinds in everyday life.

Consider sending us your personal testimony of favors received so we can spread further the devotion with others in need of hope and confirmation!

May the months ahead provide you with time for hope, prayer, and a visit to our Shrine!

My fellow Redemptorist confreres, employees, and volunteers of the St. John Neumann Shrine sincerely thank you for your generous support of our efforts to provide for all pilgrims who seek it: holy ground where they can open their hearts and become filled with the faith, hope, and love they desire and need! It’s all here, waiting for you!
