We invite and encourage Catholic schoolteachers and principals in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia to make pilgrimage to our Shrine and to immerse yourselves in a daylong retreat experience centered on the virtues of St. John Neumann and the charism of the Redemptorists. The Passion, the Cross, the Eucharist, and Mary provide a varied framework for the central teachings offered during each of our day retreats.
St. John Neumann was a humble priest and bishop with a steadfast approach to his ministry for the parishioners in his care, the religious he brought to begin our parochial school system, the children he desired to educate, and the immigrants he welcomed and prayed for throughout his large diocese.
When you arrange a day retreat with us, we can offer a balanced schedule of Mass, private prayer, opportunities for confession and the rosary, information about St. John Neumann, two teaching sessions with a Redemptorist, and opportunities for small-group discussion.
Embracing the full Shrine experience could also include a visit to our museum, the upper church, the gift shop, and time in our new atrium for contemplation and meditation. Our new events center will provide you with a beautiful, private, and peaceful location to renew your commitment to serve those in your care!
